TURQUOISE PLACE AQUATICS MANAGER
Job Summary:
Responsible and accountable for the general operation and appearance of all hot tubs in accordance with the Baldwin County Health Department and for supervision of the Aquatics team.
 
Essential Duties:
  • Maintain pool supply and chemical inventory.
  • Be knowledgeable of the chemicals and their use by team members to ensure their safety and the guests’ safety.
  • Ensure water quality is tested using the Langli Index as a standard.
  • Insure that water chemistry is maintained to include calibration and adjustment of chemical controllers.
  • Be responsible for maintaining pool and hot tub operation records in accordance with Baldwin County Health Department.
  • Monitor aquatic functions to include reading gauges, graphs, meters and control panels to ensure water quality.
  • Insure that swimming pools and hot tubs are cleaned and inspected daily which includes vacuuming, skimming debris, cleaning skimmers and cleaning tiles.
  • Repair and maintain small pumps and motors.
  • Maintain, install and replace pipes and valves.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness and organization of storage areas
  • Assist with training team members
  • Be aware of chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and know the safety precautions they advise
  • Know where eye wash stations are located and insure that team follows all safety policies.
  • Responsible for overall supervision of Aquatics team to include hiring, payroll, discipline, training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years Experience
  • Minor plumbing and electrical experience, preferred
  • Certified Pool Operator Certificate, required
  • Ability to lead/motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent customer service/hospitality skills
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  2. Ability to work in wet or dry conditions.
  3. Ability to work in outside inclement and hot weather conditions
  4. Ability to stoop, bend or kneel.
Compensation: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Paid Internship Program
Gain hands-on experience during college breaks. Spectrum Resorts offers internships in three areas of the resort. Rotation between positions and outlets included. In the Rooms Division you can learn about the guest experience from Reservations to Front Desk to Housekeeping.
