THE BEACH CLUB COFFEE SHOP MANAGER
The Coffee Shop Manager responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing and coordinating resources of the coffee shop for the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages. Provide a professional, friendly and efficient high quality service to customers. Consistently maintain quality food service and sales, meet health code requirements.
Essential Duties:
--  Provide efficient and effective service to customers and exceed wherever possible.
-  Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude toward guests, owners and team members.
-  Serve as point of contact for guest inquiries, dealing with these through to a successful outcome.
-  Monitor staff performance to maintain clean food preparation and equipment, work areas and counters or tables
-  Monitor food and beverage preparation methods, portion sizes and garnishing and presentation of food and beverage to maintain superior qualities.
-  Conduct inventories and maintain supplies for designated work areas and reorder as needed
-  Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantity.
-  Supervise staff during work shift.  Perform hiring, discipline, scheduling of staff.
-  Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance and/or safety.
-  Monitor compliance with health regulations regarding food preparation and serving. 
-  Know how to perform all tasks associated with restaurant services and catering when needed.
-  Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
-  Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food and beverage quality and service.
-  Work with other management personnel to plan marketing, advertising, and any special restaurant functions.
-  Develop/implement procedures to provide outstanding service while meeting budgetary requirements
-  Know Beach Club emergency and safety procedures
-  Perform other tasks as assigned by Director of Food & Beverage 
Required Skills:  
-Minimum 5 years work experience managing restaurants in a Breakfast/Barista setting
- Above average computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, POS systems and the ability to learn property specific programs
 - Excellent customer service/hospitality skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of budgeting, ordering, inventory
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Process oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to promote teamwork and motivate team
- Knowledge of governmental regulations including liquors laws, health department and OSHA
  requirements
-ServSafe Certification or ability to become ServSafe certified
-Knowledge of specialty coffees 
-Knowledge of roasting coffee beans
-Knowledge of merchandising products
-Ability to work at 6 a.m. and 5-6 days as volume dictates
 Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk for entire shift
- Ability to move/lift up to 40 lbs as needed
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel
- Must possess valid driver license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (ovens/freezers) outdoor heat and humidity
- Ability to withstand frequent immersion of hands in water or sanitation solution to clean food 
   or prep surfaces
 
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Paid Internship Program
Gain hands-on experience during college breaks. Spectrum Resorts offers internships in three areas of the resort. In Food & Beverage you can have the opportunity to experience different areas of F&B such as casual and coastal cuisine restaurants, poolside bar and grill, food trucks and club lounge. Rotation between positions and outlets included. In the Rooms Division you can learn about the guest experience from Reservations to Front Desk to Housekeeping. If you like working outdoors with young guests, our Activities Team may be the best fit for you. This internship includes planning and facilitating on-site activities such as organized games, arts and crafts, competitions and more.
