THE OUTLETS OF MISSISSIPPI MAINTENANCE TECH
Job Description:
 Maintenance Tech is responsible to perform general maintenance and customer service duties in all trade fields, i.e. electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, brick mason, technical services, etc. 

Major Job Tasks: Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Maintain a professional image, which represents the philosophy of the Outlets of Mississippi

Management with emphasis upon providing tenants and customers with the highest level of

customer service deemed possible.

- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs in maintenance trade fields in a timely

and efficient manner as assigned by daily work orders.

- Notify supervisor of equipment and facilities requiring repair or replacement.

- Use preventive maintenance to maintain equipment and tools as assigned.

- Cleanup work area upon completing a work order.

- Provide superior customer assistance and service

- Maintain positive work environment to facilitate excellent service

- Follow all safety guidelines and report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor.

- Perform administrative duties as needed.

- Adhere to the Outlets of Mississippi policies and procedures.

- Perform other duties, functions, and special projects as assigned by supervisor or department

director.

- Participate in departmental meetings, and in Spectrum training programs as required.

- Perform assigned tasks without direct supervision and work as a team member when needed.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

- High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or technical school.

- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

- Two years of trade or helper experience in the construction field or building maintenance.

- Basic knowledge of HVAC.

- Working knowledge of plumbing, electricity, painting, and carpentry.

- Excellent communication skills for positive interaction with employees and customers.

- Basic writing skills.


Required Education/Experience/Skills:

Working Condition: Indoor and outdoor work required. Work can be in extreme temperatures. May require standing for long periods of time. Potential work hazards include slipping, tripping and falling; electric shock, scraps and cuts.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand during entire shift

- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, walk stairs, push and pull and climb ladders as needed

- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds

- Ability to work in tight small areas and spend long periods of time in one position

- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform

essential functions.

 
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand and walk.  The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The team member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or climb.  The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.  The team member must be able to climb and stand on a ladder as needed.  The team member must be able to work safely in an environment with chemical cleaning odors, dust and moderate noise.  The team member is routinely required to work inside and outside, in hot and cold temperatures and under inclement weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in this position is moderate to loud.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
