GEM Specialists manage the guest experience from booking to departure by anticipating needs and paying special attention to details. Responsibilities include assisting guests with local area attractions, special requests, deliveries, follow up, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Specialist will also assist the front desk operations and coordinate within and between departments in order to achieve goals, providing prompt and courteous customer service to all guests and team members. Position requires delivering arrival packets and staging each unit for arrivals.
Contact guests directly to confirm arrival, assist with itineraries and reservations and other special requests.
Inspect pre-arrival units to insure perfection in cleanliness and display of amenities.
Stage arrival units per standard.
Assist at Front Desk to include checking guests in/out, making packets and assisting with problem resolution
Assist with communication between departments to insure guest satisfaction
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Must have above average computer skills with Microsoft Office programs knowledge and the ability to learn property-specific systems.
Must be self-motivated with ability to work alone and in a team environment
Must have excellent guest service and problem resolution skills.
Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
Prior Front Desk experience a plus!
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift
Must be able to bend, kneel, and stoop
Must be able to move/lift up to 25 lbs.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Paid Internship Program
Gain hands-on experience during college breaks. Spectrum Resorts offers internships in three areas of the resort. In Food & Beverage you can have the opportunity to experience different areas of F&B such as casual and coastal cuisine restaurants, poolside bar and grill, food trucks and club lounge. Rotation between positions and outlets included. In the Rooms Division you can learn about the guest experience from Reservations to Front Desk to Housekeeping. If you like working outdoors with young guests, our Activities Team may be the best fit for you. This internship includes planning and facilitating on-site activities such as organized games, arts and crafts, competitions and more.
