THE BEACH CLUB RETAIL MANAGER
Summary: The Mercantile and Creamery Manager will maintain daily operations at the Village Mercantile and Creamery. Duties will include scheduling, training, and supervising employees; merchandising; controlling expenses, ordering, and processing supplies and inventory. Ensuring excellent customer service for our guests, owners and team members is a top priority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Scheduling, training, and supervision of team members
· Maintaining operational expectations by implementing and maintaining high retail standards provided by the buyer.
· Apply commercial skills to meet and exceed sales goals and cost budgets.
· Managing and creation of yearly operational budget
· Dealing with enquiries and customer concerns
· Compliance will all health and safety legislation
· Managing deliveries from suppliers
· Inventory control thru receiving product and controlling security procedures.
· Ability to effectively communicate with the buyer and company executives in a professional manner.
· Ensure daily operating procedures are followed by employees.
· Preparing employees schedules and submitting payroll information
· Store merchandising and pricing by following buyer's guidelines.
· Provide superior customer assistance.
· Implementing and maintaining an online retail store
· Maintain operations by ordering supplies.
· Organize promotions and drive sales; motivate staff to meet goals.
· Ability to recognize and react according to market prices and business trends.
· Assist the Director of Amenities in other duties as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Prior retail sales management experience required (minimum of 1 year)
Excellent communication skills for positive interaction with employees, and customers
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, the public and other Beach Club employees.
Must have a good work ethic, including a willingness to perform job place tasks in an efficient manner.
Physical and mental ability to work independently.
Ability to perform additional duties after normal working hours when requested by the Director.
Ability to report to work on time and perform job responsibilities in a timely manner in order to meet scheduled deadlines and perform the duties of the job for a complete workday.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards of work and the necessary safety precautions.
Quick decision-making ability, enthusiastic and self-motivated.

Ability to work during entire shift outside
Ability to stand/walk during entire shift
Ability to reach, bend, crouch and stoop
Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds
Ability to lift/move 50 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb a ladder as needed
