Spectrum Resorts Information Technology Technician

Full Time • The Beach Club
Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. Perform and follow computer set up and configuration guidelines.  Provided assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.  Team member system setup and configuration.
Essential Duties:
- Physically install and at times assist with configuring Windows servers, workstations, laptops, printers, speakers, IP cameras, IP phones, etc.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
- Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
- Refer hardware or software problems to vendors or technicians for service.
- Assist in coordination with vendors/technicians engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software.
- Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  •  Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  •  Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services.
  •  Must be able to work in an on call/flexible schedule as needed
  •  Must be self-motivated to work independently as needed.
  •  Must have troubleshooting, problem resolution and critical thinking skills
  •  Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  •  1 year technical degree or 1 year associated experience, preferred 
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, and stoop
  • Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including inclement weather and high humidity

Paid Internship Program
Gain hands-on experience during college breaks. Spectrum Resorts offers internships in three areas of the resort. In Food & Beverage you can have the opportunity to experience different areas of F&B such as casual and coastal cuisine restaurants, poolside bar and grill, food trucks and club lounge. Rotation between positions and outlets included. In the Rooms Division you can learn about the guest experience from Reservations to Front Desk to Housekeeping. If you like working outdoors with young guests, our Activities Team may be the best fit for you. This internship includes planning and facilitating on-site activities such as organized games, arts and crafts, competitions and more.
